Line Caught Cornish Whole Mackerel 300g
Cornish Mackerel is a lovely fish with beautiful blue-black stripes along its back and a bright silver belly that is found in all UK waters. We can prepare the Cornish Mackerel whole, filleted or gutted! Its dark meat is one of the best sources of omega 3 fats and is packed full of flavour!
Almost all kinds of mackerel have a rich, distinct flavour. Their flesh is moist, flaky, and soft. You can find many praising these fish for their slightly sweet and salty taste. But, since mackerel is an oily fish, some people also find its taste a little bit fishy and oily.
It tastes great griddled, baked, smoked or in a pâté. Line caught mackerel is available in the late summer months into winter. Best September to March.
