St Pirans 'Make Your Own' Pasty Hamper
FREE WEEKDAY UK DELIVERY
St Piran is the patron saint of tin miners, and of Cornwall. He arrived on our beautiful shores after the Irish tied him to a millstone and rolled him off a cliff in to the stormy sea. The seas calmed when he entered to the water, and he floated safely over to land on the sandy beach at Perranzabuloe.
Cornish tin miners are well known for having a pasty for their dinner. Perfect for carrying down in to the mines and filling hungry bellies during a very hard day’s work. Traditionally made in a ‘D’ shape with a crimped crust, and packed with potato, onion, swede, and beef it is still a staple of Cornish diets today.
Try your hand at making this traditional Cornish meal with our St Pirans Pasty Hamper. It includes all the Cornish produced ingredients you’ll need to make 6 pasties of your very own. There is also a Pasty Recipe Tea Towel with all the instructions you'll need, as well as a pair of iconic Cornishware Mugs and some Tregothnan tea, so you can make a refreshing brew to accompany your meal.
