All our Cornish free range chickens come from Keith Wickett's farm in the north of Cornwall. Succulent and delicious, Keith's chickens are found in the best restaurants in the south west due to their amazing taste and the quality of the birds who roam grassy fields during the day and are kept in small flocks at night.

Our free range chickens are slowly reared on a natural diet with access to grassy fields and a cosy coop.

This high welfare system results in premium quality chicken where you can really taste the difference.

Reared on Marsh Farm in North Cornwall Keith's chickens are free to roam outside in pastures during the day with warm coops filled with straw at night. Living on a diet of low-density GM-free, additive-free and antibiotic-free food, this guarantees that the chickens are healthy and chemical-free ready for consumption. This method also allows the chickens a very natural upbringing as they are reared in small groups with plenty of space to forage, dust bath, and enjoy the sun on their backs.

Naturally reared with room to roam, our chickens grow at their own pace and feed on a natural diet, resulting in tender, succulent meat that’s as wholesome as it is delicious.

Our chicken is freshly prepared for every order which means your chicken can be frozen at home.

Free Range Chicken & Duck - High welfare pasture fed poultry

Our free-range chicken & duck is all supplied by Keith Wickett and is reared on the farm near Bude in North Cornwall. We have worked with Keith ever since we started back in 2010. The birds are raised in small flocks with daytime access to grassy paddocks and cosy coops to keep them safe at night.

Fed on a natural diet and with access to forage the birds raised in this way grow far more slowly and have a much richer & more developed flavour.

The birds are killed and prepared on the farm so they don't have the additional stress of travelling to an abattoir.

Free Range Chicken Delivery FAQs

How are your chickens and ducks raised?
Our poultry is all raised on the farm in North Cornwall. They are fed an antibiotic free diet and are slowly grown on a natural diet with access to grassy pastures during the day and a safe coop at night. The depth of flavour and quality of the meat means we consistently get rave reviews.

What are your order deadlines?
We have a 3-day lead time on our orders. All our poultry is prepared specifically for each order so you can be sure your chicken or duck is completely fresh when it arrives with you.

Can my order be frozen?
The meat we send you will be fresh and therefore suitable for home freezing. Very rarely for late orders we may have to send frozen items - if this is the case you will always be informed in advance of your order being dispatched.

How is the meat packaged for chilled delivery?
Our meat comes either vacuum-packed or packed in trays to ensure it remains in prime condition using the minimum amount of plastic packaging as possible.

For our courier deliveries our delivery boxes use innovative paper-based insulated packaging combined with reusable ice blocks which will keep your meat in top condition for a minimum of 48 hours. Over 99.8% of all our orders arrive the next day less than 24 hours after we dispatch them.

For local deliveries we deliver using our own refrigerated vans. We will leave your order where you request. Many customers leave a cool box out if they are going to be out when we deliver. For holiday cottages we will put the order away if we are given access to the property.

Where do you deliver to?
We deliver all over the UK from Wednesday through to Sunday each week. The Highlands and Islands can be delivered to by arrangement as courier charges and delivery times vary. Please contact us on 01872 211533 to arrange delivery to these areas.

I am ordering for a special occasion. Can you guarantee my order will be with me on time?
We dispatch your order to arrive on the delivery day you selected on checkout. However, on rare occasions there can be delays on the courier network due to weather or other issues so we do not guarantee the delivery day and cannot provide refunds or replacements for delayed deliveries unless the quality of the product has been compromised.

You can upgrade your delivery on checkout to a ‘before 12’ delivery but if your order is for a special occasion, we would recommend ordering your delivery to arrive the day before in case of any courier issues.
