How does holiday cottage food delivery work?

 

Simply place your order online before you travel, choose the food and groceries you’d like for your holiday, and select delivery for your arrival day. We’ll prepare your order and deliver it to your holiday address in Cornwall.

 

You can order everything from breakfast essentials and fresh local produce to BBQ boxes, meat, seafood, dairy, store cupboard staples and treats for your stay.


Can you deliver to my holiday cottage before I arrive?

 

In most cases, yes — but this depends on access arrangements at your holiday accommodation. We work closely with most holiday accommodation agencies in Cornwall and can generally arrange for deliveries to be put inside the property.  Where properties cannot be accessed prior to your arrival we can make arrangements for your order to be left securely in a safe location ready for your arrival.

 

When ordering, please add clear delivery instructions, including any access codes, parking details, or contact information for the property manager.


What information do you need for a holiday cottage delivery?

Do you offer breakfast boxes for holiday cottages?

 

Yes. Our breakfast boxes are ideal for your first morning in Cornwall. They can include essentials such as tea, coffee, bacon, sausages, eggs, bread, milk and other breakfast favourites.

 

They’re a great option if you’re arriving late, travelling with children, or simply want to wake up to breakfast already sorted.


Do you offer BBQ boxes for holidays in Cornwall?

 

Yes. Our BBQ boxes are perfect for summer holidays, family gatherings and relaxed evenings at your cottage. Choose from quality Cornish meat, sausages, burgers and other BBQ favourites, delivered to your holiday address.

 

They’re ideal if you want to enjoy a proper Cornish BBQ without needing to visit the supermarket first.


Can I order a full grocery shop for my holiday?

 

Yes. You can order much more than a set box. Our online shop lets you choose from a wide range of fresh Cornish produce, groceries and essentials, so you can stock up for your stay.

 

You can keep it simple with one of our food boxes or build your own order with exactly what you need.


Do you deliver chilled and fresh food?

 

Yes. We deliver fresh, chilled and local produce carefully so it arrives in good condition. This includes meat, fish, dairy, fresh fruit and vegetables, and other chilled items.

 

Our orders are packed to remain chilled for up to 48 hours using sustainable packaging so your order will be in perfect condition no matter what time you arrive.


Can you deliver to campsites, lodges, Airbnbs and holiday parks?

 

We deliver to a range of holiday accommodation, including cottages, lodges, cabins, Airbnbs, campsites and holiday parks.

 

Please provide as much detail as possible when ordering, especially pitch numbers, lodge names, reception instructions or site access details. For campsites and holiday parks, it may be worth checking their delivery policy before placing your order. Some sites require you to be onsite to take delivery while others allow deliveries to be left with reception. 


When should I place my order?

 

We recommend ordering as early as possible, especially during busy holiday periods, school holidays and bank holiday weekends.

 

Ordering ahead gives you the best choice of products and helps us arrange delivery for the date you need.

 

We require a minimum of 3 days notice on orders. For late orders call us on 01872 211533 and we will see if we can help.


Can I choose my delivery day and time?

 

You can select your delivery date when placing your order, subject to our 3 day lead time. 

 

For holiday cottage deliveries, we recommend choosing your arrival day so your delivery is made for your arrival. Deliveries are usually made from midday till around 7pm, but please be aware that at very busy times delivery can be as late as 8:30pm. You will be given a one hour delivery timeslot on the morning of delivery, but you will not need to be in for delivery to the majority of properties.

 

You can also choose to collect your box on your way to West Cornwall as we are located just off the A30 at Scorrier.


What happens if I am delayed on the way to Cornwall?

 

One of the benefits of choosing a Cornish Food Box Delivery for your holiday is that you don't need to be at your accommodation to receive your order. Our orders are packed to remain chilled for up to 48 hours and left securely within the property wherever possible.


Can I add items to my order or change it after placing it?

 

Yes, as long as it is within our 3 day lead time. 

We can add items or make changes to your order after you have placed it within our lead times. Please note after this time orders cannot generally be cancelled as many items are freshly made for each order, and changes may not always be possible once your order has started being prepared.


Do you cater for dietary requirements?

 

Many of our products are suitable for different dietary needs, and you can choose the items that work best for your group when ordering online.

 

Please check individual product information carefully before ordering. If you have a serious allergy or specific dietary requirement, contact us before placing your order so we can advise.


Is there a minimum order or delivery charge?

 

Many of our Holiday and Set Boxes include free weekday delivery. There is a small supplementary charge for weekend deliveries.

 

For grocery orders delivery charges depend on your delivery day and order value.

What happens if we need to cancel our holiday?

 

If you need to cancel your order you can do so up to 3 days before delivery. After this time orders cannot generally be cancelled apart from at the discretion of the company. In these circumstances you may be offered a credit note to be used on a future order. 

 

We do deliver all over the UK so orders can be delivered to your home or an alternative address if you are unable to travel to Cornwall for any reason.
