Penny's Cornish Blue and Plum Pie 500g

This amazingly good pie includes Cornish Blue cheese, plums, roquito peppers, puy lentils, sweet pickled onions and caramelised onion chutney.

These pies have been created to make the most of the beautiful flavours associated with our Christmas meals.

The pies are part of an expanding range of traditionally made hot water crust pies which are perfectly portable, handmade, delicious and Cornish.

Will serve approx 4-5 people

Ingredients: Cornish Blue cheese, Puy Lentils, port soaked plums, garlic, cranberry and apricot stuffing, chestnuts and cranberry sauce.

PENNY’S PIES - FESTIVE PIES

These are cold cutting pies and are designed to be eaten cold

STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS

All pies are cooked and ready to eat.

Store in a fridge and consume within 7 days.

They can be frozen and kept for up to three months

To thaw, allow 24 hours in a cool place. Put the pie on a rack and cover with a clean cloth to allow air around the pie.

REHEATING

The pies can be eaten hot, but should then be consumed and not reheated again.

To reheat, preheat the oven to 140 Deg C and put the pie on a rack and cover with foil or baking parchment to protect the pastry.

Approximate reheating times are:

500g - 20 mins

1Kg - 40 mins

2kg - 50-60 mins

The pie MUST be probed and the temperature above 75 Deg C in the middle of the pie.

Use an accurate temperature probe for this.

We have limited availability on some lines particularly for Christmas turkeys and geese so please place your order to secure your bird.

Delivery Information:

Our last day for deliveries is Monday 23rd December.

If you are having a delivery outside of Cornwall we would recommend ordering a delivery slightly earlier in the week. Everything will be perfect and fresh for Christmas Day.

We cannot guarantee delivery times over the busy Christmas period but we will be able to give a better idea nearer the time. Please contact us for more information.

Our Christmas range is available for delivery throughout the UK. Select your delivery day throughout December up to the 23rd. Our deliveries are made by locally by Taurus Logistics and by next day fast tracked courier delivery for national deliveries.
