Polgoon Rondo Red Wine 75cl

A proper Cornish red, grown and made at Polgoon Vineyard on the edge of Penzance, looking out over Mount's Bay.

Polgoon is a family-run vineyard owned by John and Kim Coulson. Their Rondo is made from a single grape variety, an early-ripening red that thrives in our cooler Cornish climate and gives a deep colour and plenty of fruit.

In the glass it's light to medium bodied, with blackcurrant and plum on the nose, juicy hedgerow berries on the palate and a smooth finish with a hint of vanilla spice. The tannins are soft, so it's easy to enjoy on its own or with food.

Lovely with: roast turkey, glazed gammon, pork, mushroom dishes and a Cornish cheeseboard. It's a great red for the Christmas table.

Serve: lightly chilled or at cool room temperature.
