Description / Whole Chicken Carcass

Beyond protein, our chicken carcasses are also a natural source of calcium, phosphorus, and other trace minerals, which are vital for bone strength, muscle function, and overall metabolic processes.

The carcass is perfect for making homemade chicken stock or broth, which can be used as a base for soups, stews, sauces, and risotto.

The bones, skin, and remaining meat add rich flavor and nutrients to the stock.

Full of collagen, minerals, and rich chicken flavour, this is the sustainable, zero-waste way to make the most of your cooking – and it’s freezer-friendly too.

Free Range Meat Delivery

From Cornish fields to your plate

Our free range and grass fed meats are sourced from a range of small Cornish producers we work closely with. We only supply meat from high welfare producers who ensure their animals have access to the outdoors, natural forage and can display natural behavious such as scratching in the earth. Working with small producers means our meat is completely traceable and supports heritage breeds and small scale traditional farming.

Our beef & lamb is expertly and freshly prepared for each order by our butcher James Kittow.

"Being the 5th generation born into a family of butchers and farmers that had a small abattoir as well as shops, I’m passionate about the way we farm and produce food," said James.

"Farming in a sustainable manner putting soil health and the environment at the focus of our business, is what makes us and our customers happy, and why we choose to graze beautiful beasts such as our native Red Ruby Devon cattle and work with a fantastic network of local producers that share the same values."

Our free-range chicken & duck is all supplied by Keith Wickett and is reared on the farm near Bude in North Cornwall.  We have worked with Keith ever since we started back in 2010. The birds are raised in small flocks with daytime access to grassy paddocks and cosy coops to keep them safe at night. The birds are killed and prepared on the farm so they don't have the additional stress of travelling to an abattoir.  The birds raised in this way grow far more slowly and have a much richer & more developed flavour.

Our free-range pork comes from Primrose Herd based near us just outside of Redruth. Specialising in rare breeds such as Cornish Lops and Large Blacks these pigs are raised with access to fields to root in, create mud baths, and 'nest' when they are ready to farrow. Engaging in these natural behaviours is important for these intelligent animals and is a world away from the conditions that most pigs are raised in. This results in much better quality pork with a good covering of fat.

Free Range Meat Delivery FAQs

What are your order deadlines?
We have a 3-day lead time on our orders. All our fish is bought and prepped specifically for each order so you can be sure your fish is completely fresh when it arrives with you.

How can I be sure my meat will arrive chilled?
We use innovative and completely recyclable or reusable packaging designed to keep your order chilled and in prime condition for at least 48 hours after dispatch. Over 99.8% of all our orders arrive the next day less than 24 hours after we dispatch them.

Can my order be frozen?
The meat we send you will be fresh and therefore suitable for home freezing. Very rarely for late orders we may have to send frozen items - if this is the case you will always be informed in advance of your order being dispatched.

How is the meat packaged for delivery?
Our meat comes either vacuum-packed or packed in trays to ensure it remains in prime condition using the minimum amount of plastic packaging as possible. Our delivery boxes use innovative paper-based insulated packaging combined with reusable ice blocks which will keep your fish in top condition for a minimum of 48 hours.

Where do you deliver to?
We deliver all over the UK from Wednesday through to Sunday each week. The Highlands and Islands can be delivered to by arrangement as courier charges and delivery times vary. Please contact us on 01872 211533 to arrange delivery to these areas.

I am ordering for a special occasion. Can you guarantee my order will be with me on time?
We dispatch your order to arrive on the delivery day you selected on checkout. However, on rare occasions there can be delays on the courier network due to weather or other issues so we do not guarantee the delivery day and cannot provide refunds or replacements for delayed deliveries unless the quality of the product has been compromised.

You can upgrade your delivery on checkout to a ‘before 12’ delivery but if your order is for a special occasion, we would recommend ordering your delivery to arrive the day before in case of any courier issues.
